Touhou Luna Nights

Sakuya Izayoi has been unceremoniously dumped into a bizarre pocket dimension by her vampire mistress, and she is not happy about it. This 2D Metroidvania is a masterclass in style and mechanics, tasking you with navigating a sprawling, interconnected world while mastering a unique time-manipulation system. You will freeze projectiles in mid-air, dash through frozen hazards, and graze past enemies to regain resources. It is a tight, punchy action experience that proves you do not need a massive budget to deliver some of the most satisfying boss encounters and platforming in the genre.
