Superman 64 is a legendary disaster that tasks the Man of Steel with navigating a glitchy, virtual-reality version of Metropolis. Instead of soaring through the skies as a hero, you spend your time trapped in a repetitive nightmare of flying through floating rings under a strict time limit. The game attempts to blend 3D exploration with combat, but it is mostly remembered for its abysmal controls, nonsensical plot, and a thick 'Kryptonite fog' that hides the game's technical limitations. It is a masterclass in frustration that turns one of the world's most powerful icons into a glorified stunt pilot.
