You play as Zidane, a charming thief who accidentally kidnaps a princess, kicking off a journey that feels like a classic high-fantasy adventure. Beneath its whimsical, colorful exterior lies a surprisingly heavy narrative that grapples with existential dread and the weight of mortality. It is a masterclass in character-driven storytelling, proving that even the most cartoonish mages can deliver the most profound lessons on what it means to be alive.
